Perth Scorchers made it two from two against the ladder-leading Sydney Sixers with a confident six-wicket Rebel WBBL win on Sunday.
The Scorchers reached 4-139 to pass the Sixers' 138 with seven balls to spare amid a carnival atmosphere at Lilac Hill in Perth.
The home crowd had plenty to celebrate as the Scorchers again reversed the result of last season's final, having defeated the Sixers a fortnight ago by nine wickets.
In-form opener Elyse Villani again starred for the Scorchers, cracking 63 from just 43 balls for a third half-century in as many matches.
She teamed with Nicole Bolton (42) to virtually seal victory with a 103-run opening stand. Bolton also took 2-15 to collect player-of-the-match honours.
It took an athletic catch from Ellyse Perry to remove Villani, although the star allrounder had an off-day with the ball, returning 0-29 from three overs.
Perry was the mainstay of the Sixers' innings scoring a run-a-ball 45, after fellow opener Alyssa Healy was dismissed off the first ball of the match.
Heavy-scoring No.3 Ashleigh Gardner made 14 on her return following a two-week injury absence, while South African Dane van Niekerk chipped in with a quickfire 29 in the latter stages.
The win pushes the Scorchers equal top with four wins from six outings, albeit behind the Sixers on run rate.
