The Brisbane Heat will face the Sydney Sixers in the KFC BBL|13 Final at the SCG on Wednesday after defeating the Adelaide Strikers in The Challenger on the Gold Coast.
Heat opening batter Josh Brown produced a knock for the ages, hammering the equal second fastest century in BBL history off just 41 balls, eventually falling for a sensational 140 off just 57 balls.
Brown's century was the first of BBL|13 and broke the record for the most sixes in an innings in the competition (12).
The Heat bounced back after suffering defeat at the hands of the Sixers in The Qualifier on Friday, a result that earned Sydney hosting rights to The Final, with the two sides to go head-to-head again in Wednesday’s Final.
This will be the third time the SCG has hosted The Final, with the Sixers looking to claim a fourth BBL title in front of their home fans while victory would hand the Heat a second championship.
A final release of tickets will go on sale tomorrow, Tuesday, January 23 at 12pm Sydney local time after the initial release was exhausted in just over 24 hours. Tickets will be available via cricket.com.au/tickets.
