Six-hitting sensation Chris Lynn sidelined for up to a month with calf injury, but could return in time for the Big Bash finals
Lynn ruled out of ODI series with injury
The international career of luckless batting superstar Chris Lynn has had another false start, the right-hander ruled out of the Gillette ODI Series due to a calf injury.
Lynn had scans on Saturday after picking up a calf injury in a KFC BBL match at the Gabba on Friday night and Cricket Australia has announced the 27-year-old will miss the ODIs against England this month.
National selectors have not yet discussed a replacement player for the one-day series, which starts on Sunday.
Dumped batsman Glenn Maxwell would be among the frontrunners to replace Lynn while in-form Test left-handers Shaun Marsh and Usman Khawaja as well as Victorian Peter Handscomb and uncapped Western Australian D'Arcy Short, the leading run-scorer in the BBL, could also be in contention.
