Lynn set to lead Bulls JLT Cup finals charge

The Queensland star had been battling injury but is ready to meet South Australia in the first JLT Cup final

Star Queensland batter Chris Lynn is expected to overcome a bruised calf and line-up in his side's cut-throat JLT One-Day Cup qualifying final against South Australia on Wednesday.

Lynn was struck in the calf twice during his brilliant innings of 135 against New South Wales on Monday and sat on the sidelines for much of the Blues' run chase as his side fell to a six-wicket loss at Drummoyne Oval.

But the dynamic batter has been named in a 14-man squad for the knockout clash against South Australia and is likely to spearhead Queensland's innings for the day-night contest at North Sydney Oval.

The Queenslander resorted to cryotherapy treatment in Sydney on Tuesday to aid his recovery, crowd-sourcing recomendations for venues in the city through his social media channels.

Despite the likely presence of Lynn, South Australia paceman Kane Richardson has warned his teammates against concentrating purely on the dismissal of Queensland's batting lynchpin.

Lynn is the second leading run-scorer in the tournament with 369 runs, but youngsters Sam Heazlett (275 runs) and Max Bryant (196) have also impressed and Richardson believes their wickets will be just as important.

Bryant goes bananas against South Australia

"There's a few players in that Queensland line-up that can do damage, so we are going to have to be at the top of our game," Richardson said on Tuesday.

"You can have all the plans in the world, especially at grounds like this that are quite small.

"In the end you have to bring a plan and you have to be willing to adapt on the day."

Queensland easily accounted for South Australia during the preliminary stages of the JLT Cup on the back of a blistering Lynn century at Hurstville Oval, but Richardson believes conditions will suit his side better this time around.

"They beat us pretty convincingly in that game, but conditions will be different tomorrow," he noted.

"Being a day-night game is definitely going to change it.

"They bowled really well against us in the morning and (we) probably didn’t make enough runs.

"Guys like Adam Zampa and Tom Andrews will match up really well against them, being slower bowlers."

South Australia have included Conor McInerney in their 14-man squad for the clash, who has already scored two centuries for the Northern Mavericks in South Australia's premier 50-over competition this season.

Alex Ross and Nick Winter have been omitted from the South Australia squad, while Queensland will choose their final XI from the same 14 players that were in line to take on New South Wales.

Meanwhile, Victoria have included Travis Dean and Andrew Fekete in their squad for their knockout qualifying final against New South Wales on Thursday.

The duo are named in a 14-man squad, with young quick Wes Agar and teenage batter Mackenzie Harvey the pair to make way.
