The Next Gen: Clint Hinchliffe (Western Australia)

Age: 19 | State: WA | Dominant Skill: Batting | Height: 178cm

Hinchliffe was most recently named ‘Player of the Championships’ for the Under 19 carnival, joining the likes of Adam Gilchrist, Usman Khawaja and Travis Head. It was not only his 446 runs at an average of 55.75 that impressed, but his 10 wickets at 17.5, including 5/32. His shot at the AFL draft narrowly passed him but his attention on cricket has earned him major plaudits from the national talent managers and a spot in the Australian Under 19 squad. The 19-year-old has also dipped his toes in the Toyota Futures League setup, with a half-century on debut.
