Alex Gregory was one of the youngest players in Australia to hold a rookie contract when he secured one at the tender age of 17.
Capable with both bat and ball, the all-rounder still holds a rookie contract at the Redbacks and was named vice-captain of the inaugural Cricket Australia XI side which competed in the 2015 Matador Cup.
Gregory did not play a game for South Australia in 2015-16, but shone for Sturt Cricket Club, returning 664 runs – with a best of 137 – and 18 wickets.
