Bats Right Hand.
England star Sarah Taylor is one of the outstanding wicketkeeper-batters in the women’s game.
Called up to the England squad to face India in 2006, aged 17, she played in all three international formats against the tourists.
Soon established as England’s first-choice keeper, Taylor shone with the bat including scoring a century against Australia in a quadrangular series one-day international in Chennai.
She helped England retain the Ashes in early 2008 and aided World Cup and World Twenty20 glory in 2009, making 78 against West Indies in the former and 50 not out versus India in the latter.
In 2012 she was named ICC women's T20I cricketer of the year, while in 2013, she helped England finish runners-up at the World T20 in Sri Lanka and third at the World Cup in India, before helping England regain the Ashes.
In 2014 she was named the ICC ODI player of the year, and is an important part of the SA Scorpions' WNCL set-up. She has signed with the Adelaide Strikers in the WBBL.
