New Zealand have suffered an early setback at the under-19 cricket World Cup in Bangladesh, losing by 32 runs to Nepal.
Nepal's 7-238 proved too much for New Zealand, who were dismissed for 206 in the 48th over in their opening pool game in Fatullah.

Skipper Raju Rijal top scored for the Nepalese, making 48 from 65 deliveries, and he found good support in Aarif Sheikh (39) and a late cameo from Kushal Bhurtel (35no from 23).
Opener Glenn Phillips top-scored with 52 but a middle-order collapse proved costly for the young New Zealanders, who lost their last eight wickets for 103 runs, 16-year-old Dipendra Singh Airee doing the majority of the damage with 3-24.

For New Zealand, Otago seamer Nathan Smith was the most successful bowler, taking 3-58 from 10 overs.
Two teams qualify from each four-nation pool for the quarter-finals, with both New Zealand and Nepal still to face India and Ireland.
