Mitch's mo story gets creepy

Shane Watson to bid for urn containing Mitch's shavings?

Mitchell Johnson says Test team-mate Shane Watson was disappointed when the Australia quick shaved his moustache and he may take drastic, and arguably weird, action to keep the Ashes version of the mo with the team.

After Johnson shaved the mo off following the Ashes series, Australian radio network Triple M nabbed the moustache shavings and put them into a replica urn (see above).

The shavings are now being auctioned off via the radio network, with the current highest bid sitting at $2,001.

But rumours are swirling Watson will make a late bid during the final morning of bidding on Triple M's Hot Breakfast show on Wednesday, January 29.

"Shane Watson is quite upset with me," Mitchell Johnson told CATV (watch video here). "He's very disappointed that I've shaved it because he thinks that the magic powers have gone now.

"So he's actually looking for the mo. He's going to bid for the auction of the mo which is in an urn, which I've signed as well. Which is a bit creepy."

You can bid for the actual Johnson moustache clippings here and on January 29 at 8:30am AEST Triple M will auction them off to the highest bidders with all proceeds going to Movember.
