Aussies a team to beat: du Plessis
South Africa skipper Faf du Plessis believes Australia will be one of the teams to beat at the upcoming ICC Twenty20 World Cup.
The Proteas were beaten 2-0 in the three-match T20 series that both sides were using as a tune-up for the tournament in Bangladesh.
The hosts were without key bowlers Morne Morkel and Dale Steyn in the losses at Durban and Centurion.
It showed, as Australia's batting order ran rampant in both clashes.
Du Plessis expected more of the same in Bangladesh.
"They have a powerhouse batting order ... everyone in that top seven or eight can come in and take the game away from you," he said.
"That's very dangerous. It's definitely a massive positive for them going into the World Cup on those (subcontinent) wickets.
"Their chances are good of getting through to the semis. They've got a good side."
The tourists also bowled well and were slick in the field in Centurion, where they coasted to a five-wicket win.
"They've got some quality fast bowling. Their first six overs, they bowled really well at us," du Plessis said.
"They didn't give us anything to hit, and that's what creates all the (poor) shots."
