BBL Academy quad-series
Sydney Thunder play their final group game of the Quadrangular Series on Tuesday at Blacktown International SportsPark when they face the Lahore Qalandars Rising Stars from 11am.
Thunder have already won their first two games against the Sydney Sixers and the Hobart Hurricanes Academies to book their spot in the final on Tuesday 2 November.
Thunder welcome Ryan Hadley into the squad for his first game of the campaign while Ryan Gibson is also included after being a late omission from last Thursday’s squad against the Hobart Hurricanes.
Thunder Academy: Chris Green (c), Josh Clarke, Scott Copperfield, Jordan Gauci, Ryan Gibson, Ryan Hadley, Liam Hatcher, Ben Rohrer, Jay Lenton, Nathan McAndrew, Param Uppal.
The Hurricanes Academy squad is a combination of experienced Big Bash players and up-and-coming Tasmanian youth. The likes of Simon Milenko, Cameron Boyce, Clive Rose and Hamish Kingston will be looking to fine-tune their T20 games before BBL|07 and ensure they are in contention to play the first match of the tournament, while players like Caleb Jewell, Charlie Wakim and Liam Devlin will gain more exposure against top-class cricketers from the Sydney Thunder, Sydney Sixers and Lahore Qalanders.
This tournament also serves as a potential audition players who are chasing Big Bash contracts for BBL|08 with the Hurricanes.
There's one change to the Hobart squad for this match – Keegan Oates has replaced Jack White.
