Live: India chasing top spot against Sri Lanka

India still have plenty to play for in their last World Cup match prior to the semi-finals

Sri Lanka have won the toss and will bat first against India in their Cricket World Cup pool clash in Leeds.

India captain Virat Kohli also admitted he would have batted first.

India made two changes for Saturday's match after beating Bangladesh by 28 runs on Tuesday in Birmingham.

Yuzvendra Chahal is rested for spinner Kuldeep Yadav, and allrounder Ravindra Jadeja makes his first World Cup appearance for quick Mohammed Shami.

India must beat Sri Lanka and hope Australia lose to South Africa later on Saturday to top the pool stage.

Sri Lanka made one change after beating the West Indies by 23 runs on Monday, with veteran allrounder Thisara Perera in for Jeffrey Vandersay.

Conditions are dry but cloudy overhead.

Ian Gould will also umpire his last cricket international in the match, 13 years after umpiring his first ODI.
