An absolute powerhouse batsman, Mark Cosgrove will join the Sydney Thunder as an injury replacement player for BBL|04.
The boundary hitting left-hander has had a whirlwind domestic career since entering the scene in 2002.
After a few solid seasons, Cosgrove was award the Bradman Young Player of the Year in 2005 before being dropped from the South Australian squad after concerns over his fitness grew.
He returned to plunder 736 runs at 66.9 in the Shield as well as 591 runs at 73.8 in the Pura Cup, leading to ODI selection for the tour of Bangladesh.
Although Cosgrove averaged over 40 at the domestic level, he was cut by the South Australia squad before Tasmania signed the burly opening batsman.
In four years with the Tigers, Cosgrove has come away with two shield titles, scoring more than 700 runs in both seasons.
Cosgrove is sure to be one to watch in BBL|04.
