A left-hand opening batsman, Dominic Michael took the long road to earn a contract with Tasmania for the 2014-15 season.
Michael notched his maiden century for the Tigers in the 2015 Matador Cup and will be looking to nail down a spot in both formats this summer.
The son of a Samoan mother and a Greek-Cypriot father, Michael used his European passport to play second XI cricket for Kent and Surrey in the UK and also for Netherlands in England’s 40-over competition.
He started his first-class career in his native Queensland, making his Shield debut for the Bulls in 2013 and playing three matches in 2014 before moving to the Tigers.
