Bio

Regarded as one of the best players in the world, New Zealand International Sophie Devine brings a wealth of talent and experience to the Western Australian Women’s team.

The 29-year-old has scored more than 1600 One Day International runs for the White Ferns at an average of 25.95, as well as taking 58 wickets at 37.93.

As vice-captain of New Zealand, Devine will provide great leadership to WA’s young squad working alongside captain Chloe Piparo.

During the 2017 Women’s Cricket World Cup, Devine became the first woman to hit nine sixes in an innings.

Devine’s talents also extend to the shortest form of the game, where she holds the world record for the fastest international T20 half century (men or women) which she reached in just 18 balls.
