Spinner makes his comeback after serving ban
Ashton Agar returns to Shield action
Off-spinner Ashton Agar will return to Western Australia’s Bupa Sheffield Shield side in the crucial clash against top-placed New South Wales at the WACA Ground.
Agar was unavailable for selection in last week’s side to face Tasmania due to a suspension stemming from a Code of Behaviour issue in the Futures League fixture in Brisbane.
The 20-year-old returns to the Alcohol.Think Again Western Warriors in place of injured paceman Nathan Coulter-Nile in the side’s only change ahead of its final home game of the regular season.
Coulter-Nile suffered a minor hamstring strain during last week’s win over the Tigers.
The Warriors sit third on the Sheffield Shield table, four points behind the ladder-leading Blues and South Australian Redbacks, making tomorrow’s clash crucial in the race to the final.
WA goes on the road for its final two matches of the regular season, first heading to Queensland, before playing New South Wales at Canberra’s Manuka Oval.
The match will be live streamed and scored via cricket.com.au.
Alcohol.Think Again Western Warriors v New South Wales Blues: Adam Voges (Captain), Ashton Agar, Cameron Bancroft, Michael Beer, Jason Behrendorff, Ryan Duffield, Marcus Harris, Michael Hogan, Mitch Marsh, Marcus North, Ashton Turner, Sam Whiteman.
