Only three bowlers – Australian Chuck Fleetwood-Smith (1-298, The Oval), India's Bishen Bedi (6-226, Lord’s, 1974) and Ian Botham (3-217, The Oval, 1987) have conceded more runs in a Test innings in England.

8.57 – Chris Woakes’ bowling average for the series so far at stumps on day two. He has taken 14 wickets so far, after having taken just 16 in his first eight Tests.
