Big-hitting left-hander hits six right-handed
Warner's new trick a smash hit
Dave Warner is no stranger to clearing the pickets of cricket grounds around the world, but the left-handed opener has been working on a new trick ahead of the World T20.
Quick Single: Warner announces engagement, pregnancy
The Matraville hammer has hit a remarkable 195 sixes in his Twenty20 career, including 57 while playing for Australia. But it's not just the shortest form of the game where Warner takes bowlers the distance. He's hit 27 Test match sixes in his 30 matches – including eight during his remarkable series against South Africa, and a surprisingly low 16 boundary-clearing shots in 42 one-day internationals.
Warner has played the reverse-sweep and the switch-hit before (including against Sri Lanka last January, pictured above) but was spotted hitting the ball out of the park right-handed during a training session this week.
Could this be the next big thing to wow the crowds at the World T20, or merely a bit of training-ground fun?
