One of the veterans of the Ireland team, Ed Joyce made his debut for Ireland against Scotland in 1997.
But when his first official one-day international appearance came in 2006, Joyce was playing for England, becoming the first Irishman to do so.
Joyce had helped Ireland qualify for the World Cup in 2007 but moved to England seeking an opportunity to play Test cricket.
The batsman played five matches for England during the 2007 ICC Cricket World Cup, with his best performances of 75 and 66 coming against Kenya and Canada respectively.
When opportunities in the longer form of the game eluded him, Joyce returned to Ireland ahead of the 2011 Cup.
Back in green for the 2011 event, Joyce played six matches, scoring 84 against West Indies.
His best ODI performance was against Pakistan in 2013, when Joyce scored from unbeaten 116.
