An up-and-coming wicket-keeper batsman, Tom Triffitt is quickly forging a career in the state ranks.
The 24-year-old featured as vice-captain in Australia's victorious 2010 U19 World Cup campaign and debuted for Tasmania in early 2011 compiling five fifties in quick time.
He moved to Western Australia but fell out of favour. He was sacked by the state in January 2014 after an acohol-fuelled incident in Brisbane during a Futures League match, returning home to Tasmania to take stock.
Triffitt earned a call-up to play for the Melbourne Stars in BBL|04 as a replacement for the injured Peter Handscomb, holding his place in the side as wicketkeeper for the remainder of the tournament.
In April 2015, Triffit was given a one-year state contract with Tasmania, offered a second chance by his home state to complete his rehabilitation from the alcohol issues.
