Richardson to spearhead Aussies as A side make three changes
Jhye Richardson will spearhead the Australia A pace bowling attack for the second four-day clash against India A, which begins today in Puducherry.
Richardson joins Victoria's Sam Harper and NSW seamer Liam Hatcher as the three changes to the side, with Aussie skipper Peter Handscomb opting to bat after winning the toss.

Richardson has already played seven first-class matches in the 2026 calendar year, the most he has ever done, following his maiden County Championship stint with Yorkshire.
That stint saw him take six wickets at the unflattering average of 66.33.
After returning to the Australian team during last year's Boxing Day Ashes Test, a strong performance against India A could have him in the frame to add to his four Test caps during the home summer against New Zealand.
Harper, meanwhile, has earned an Australia A debut on the back of a breakout summer across all formats, which included a career-best 677 Sheffield Shield runs with two centuries last season after moving to the top of the order.
He has been listed to bat at No.7 and take the gloves in the second four-day 'A' match, with NSW keeper Josh Philippe named to open alongside Sam Konstas.
Hatcher, last season's leading Shield bowler with 44 wickets, makes his second appearance for Australia A after taking eight wickets (4-77 and 4-92) against New Zealand A in Mackay in 2023.
Fast bowlers Brendan Doggett and Fergus O'Neill, along with opener Campbell Kellaway, make way for the incoming trio and will depart India early to join their state teams ahead of next week's opening round of the Shield season.
Tasmanian speedster Riley Meredith and Victorian captain Will Sutherland will both miss the start of their side's campaigns after being added to the A one-day squad to take on India A in three matches, also in Puducherry beginning on October 6.
The pair replace allrounders Jack Edwards, who was called up to the ODI squad in South Africa, and Aaron Hardie, who picked up a niggle during preseason training and missed Western Australia's opening two One-Day Cup matches.
Australia A will be looking to square the four-day series after the hosts won last week's opening match by 162 runs at the same venue; Indian Test-capped batters Sai Sudharsan and Devdutt Padikkal each hitting half-centuries and wicketkeeper Kumar Kushagra 113 in the first innings.
India A made two changes with Ayush Pandey replacing opener Aman Mokhade and Nachiket Bhute coming in for fellow seamer Praful Hinge.
