South Australia have started their Sheffield Shield campaign in the same way they ended the last one, beating Victoria at Junction Oval.
The two-time defending champions wrapped up their dominating start on Saturday, beating the home side by an innings and 40 runs.
Fittingly, Noah McFadyen took the last wicket of the game when he had David Moody caught and bowled, after top-scoring with 134 in SA's innings.
Resuming at 7-175 and needing another 89 to bat again, Victoria were dismissed for 224.
Victoria made 244 in their first innings and SA took the game away from them with 508.
Fergus O'Neill top-scored in Victoria's second innings with 62, while Nathan McAndrew and Henry Thornton took three wickets apiece.
