Injury blow for Aussies with opener ruled out

Phoebe Litchfield has been sidelined by a hip strain with Beth Mooney to open the batting in her 100th one-dayer

Phoebe Litchfield will miss the final one-day international against Bangladesh with a hip injury, with Nicola Carey coming into the XI.

Australia are once again bowling first at Allan Border Field after stand-in captain Tahlia McGrath won the toss, with Beth Mooney, in her milestone 100th one-day international, shuffling up the order to open the batting in place of Litchfield.

Australia XI: Georgia Voll, Beth Mooney (wk), Ellyse Perry, Annabel Sutherland, Ashleigh Gardner, Tahlia McGrath (c), Georgia Wareham, Nicola Carey, Kim Garth, Alana King, Megan Schutt

Bangladesh XI: Murshida Khatun, Sharmin Sultana, Sharmin Akter Supta, Nigar Sultana Joty (c) (wk), Sobhana Mostary, Shorna Akter, Ritu Moni, Rabeya Khan, Disha Biswas, Habiba Islam Pinky, Sultana Khatun

The 23-year-old left-hander suffered a low-grade hip muscle strain during her innings of 71 in Sunday's second ODI, and with a tight turnaround for Sunday's first T20I against New Zealand starting Sunday, will be under an injury cloud for that three-game series.

Australia had a squad of just 12 players at their disposal for the three one-dayers against Bangladesh following injuries to Sophie Molineux (hip) and Lucy Hamilton (quad), meaning allrounder Carey comes into the XI for her first match of the series.

Grace Harris has flown up to Brisbane to join the squad as cover and will rejoin Brisbane Heat's T20 Spring Challenge campaign on Thursday after missing selection in Australia's T20I squad.

Bangladesh have meanwhile made three changes with Murshida Khatun, Sultana Khatun and debutant Disha Biswas replacing Marufa Akter, Nahida Akter, Fargana Hoque Pinky.

Australia are seeking a series sweep after cruising to victory in the opening two ODIs by margins of seven and nine wickets.

Mooney's milestone match was acknowledged by the Australian squad ahead of the toss, with batting coach Dan Marsh hailing the wicketkeeper-batter's contribution to the group.
