IPL auction: Biggest winners, full squads

A recap of all the action that went down in the biggest IPL auction ever

Following two intense days of bidding in Bangalore, the 2018 Indian Premier League auction concluded with millions of dollars splashed out on some of the best cricketers on the planet.

In total, 169 players were sold to the eight franchises, with 17 Australians earning contracts for the upcoming season.

Hard-hitting batsman Chris Lynn was the highest-paid Australian after he was bought for AUD1.86 million by Kolkata Knight Riders.

Kolkata also snapped up Mitchell Starc for $1,8m, while Glenn Maxwell was sold to Ricky Ponting's Delhi Daredevils for $1.75m.

England allrounder Ben Stokes was the overall highest-paid player - he was bought for $2.4m by the Steve Smith-led Rajasthan Royals.
