WBBL finals hit prime time under lights

The schedule for the WBBL|06 finals has been revealed, with North Sydney Oval to host all three matches

The Rebel WBBL finals will be played in prime time under lights for the first time this season.

All three knockout matches will be played at North Sydney Oval, with the semi-finals to be played at 7.10pm on Wednesday November 25, and Thursday, November 26.

The WBBL|06 final will be played at the same time on Saturday, November 28, with the entire finals series to be broadcast live on Seven, Foxtel, Kayo and ABC Radio.

The entire season has been played inside a bio-secure hub in Sydney and with both local teams currently sitting inside the top four, the Sixers and Thunder will be eyeing off a chance to play finals in front of a home crowd.

"The move to a full prime time finals series is another major leap in the evolution of the WBBL," said Alistair Dobson, Cricket Australia's Head of Big Bash Leagues.

"As we pass the halfway mark of our second standalone season, we're delighted to confirm that the pinnacle events of our season will be taken live into homes around the country at a family-friendly time.

"We look forward to tuning in to more quality cricket and a thrilling race to the finals over the next fortnight."

More regular season matches are being broadcast on television this season than ever before, with ratings highlights including a reach of over one million viewers for last Sunday's match between the Brisbane Heat and Melbourne Stars.

It had already been confirmed by the League that a reserve day (November 29) would be in place for the tournament final for the first time, a factor that is likely to reassure teams after eight matches were washed out across the opening two weekends of the tournament.

Tickets for the finals will be available for pre-purchase on Monday, November 16 at 3pm AEDT.

Adult tickets will be $10, with entry for children 15 and under free.
