Player Story
An athletic and sometimes wayward fast bowler, Josh Tongue made an immediate impact at the highest level with a five-wicket haul in the second innings of his Test debut against Ireland in 2023.
He was then picked for the fiery Ashes clash at Lord's later that month, where he took five wickets for the match, but lost his spot for the remainder of the series.
Tongue's wicket-taking ability was on show in the Test series against India in 2025, where he took 19 wickets in three Tests which included a five-wicket haul at the Oval.
