Player Story

Left-handed batter Corey Wasley earned his first rookie contract with Western Australia ahead of the 2024-25 season after a sustained run of impressive form with Rockingham-Mandurah.

Flourishing as a teenager, he was part of the Australia U19 set-up, playing youth Tests and ODIs against England. Selected for the 2024 U19 World Cup, he was forced to withdraw with a finger injury, which opened the door for Victoria's Ollie Peake to come into the team.

Walsey made his first-class debut in October 2026 midway through a Shield game against NSW as an injury replacement for state captain Aaron Hardie. He was selected for his One-Day Cup debut three days later.
