Caelan Maladay is a durable and relentless right-arm fast-medium bowler who has earned his call up to the Tasmanian Tigers squad with consistent performances over a number of seasons.
A NSW Country representative at Under 17 and Under 19 level, Maladay made his First Grade debut as a teenager for Randwick Petersham in 2019-20. He relocated to Tasmania in 2023-24 and has impressed Tasmania’s coaching staff with a series of lion-hearted displays for New Town in the CTPL, and particularly for Tasmania’s Second XI and Australian Country Cricket Championships teams.
As well as being a skilled seam bowler, Maladay is excellent in the field and has the ability to provide lower order runs with the bat at First Class level. He was called up for the CA XI match against the England Lions in Perth in November last year and claimed three first innings wickets.
He signed for the Tasmanian Tigers for the 2026-27 season.
