One of three Parramatta products to feature in Australia’s U19 World Cup squad in 2026, Samuel put his name up in lights with a series of half-centuries to open the tournament.
Opening the batting alongside Will Malajczuk, Samuel backed up his unbeaten 77 off 101 deliveries in the opening match against Ireland with another unbeaten 60 from 73 against Japan, providing a calm foil for centurions Malajczuk and Steven Hogan.
Closer to home, Samuel was a member of Paramatta’s first grade premiership in 2024-25, and tallied 364 runs at an average of 91 at the 2025 U19 Male National Championships in Perth. His consistency was recognised when he was awarded the Brian Taber Medal for Player of the Tournament.
