Wicketkeeper batswoman Amy Jones came in as a replacement for former cricketer Sarah Taylor, making her international debut against Sri Lanka in the 2013 ICC Women's World Cup. Her T20I debut came later the same year against Pakistan.

Her formative years in domestic cricket saw her represent the English Academy as well as Warwickshire.

Jones had an impressive outing at the 2018 T20 World Cup, with her unbeaten 53 against India being one of the highlights.

The Perth Scorchers welcomed her to the Big Bash League, signing her up for the 2018-19 season. Her debut in the league saw her smash 57 off just 29 deliveries.

Jones took over the gloves full-time for England following Taylor's retirement, while remaining a regular face in the WBBL, playing for both the Scorchers and Sydney Thunder.

More than a decade into her international career, Jones struck her first ODI century against West Indies in June 2025, then backed it up with a second a game later.

That form saw her in demand at the WBBL|11 draft, where she was snapped up by the Melbourne Stars.
