A tall wicketkeeper-batter who can hit the ball a mile, at 21 years of age Tristan Stubbs already had an IPL contract with Mumbai Indians before he'd made his international debut.
The right hander is particularly strong against spin and can hit to all areas of the ground with his long reach and inventive batting.
Having been a regular in the Proteas' T20 side, Stubbs made his Test debut in 2024 in an effort to add more firepower to SA's middle order and after a slow start against India and West Indies, Stubbs hit centuries against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka to highlight his supreme talents.
