Bio

Tasmania had one eye on the future when they signed Gabe Bell to bolster their pace stocks in 2013-14.

Bell was upgraded to the full-contract list for the 2017-18 domestic season.

He has had an excellent opportunity to stake his claim in both the local grade competition as well as the Futures League.

The under-23 state competition has been the breeding ground for young stars. Seen as a catalyst competition for emerging players, it mixes young guns with a handful of seasoned veterans who are on the cusp of first team selection.

The fast bowler has proven to be a more than handy customer with impressive showings in the under-19 tri-series tournament in Darwin.

Coming on as first change, Bell finished with 3/34 from his 10 overs to be the pick of the bowlers in Australia’s loss to India.
