Finch holds off Kohli to remain world's best T20 batsman, as Warner shoots into the top 10
Warner rises up the ICC rankings
David Warner's match-winning innings of 77 against South Africa has seen him jump back into the ICC's top 10 T20 batsmen, while countryman Aaron Finch has stayed on top of the standings.
Warner has made a shift down the batting order for Australia's series against the Proteas but it hasn't lessened his impact, with the left-hander hammering six fours and five sixes in a record-breaking partnership with Glenn Maxwell in Johannesburg on Monday morning AEDT.
Warner moved up eight spots in the latest rankings to ninth, while Maxwell achieved a career-best rating of 31st.
Finch held off a strong challenge from the in-form Virat Kohli and will head into this month's ICC World T20 with a 24-point advantage over the Indian star in second spot.
South Africa skipper Faf du Plessis moved up one spot to third after top-scoring for the Proteas at The Wanderers.
Another big winner in the batting rankings was Bangladesh's Sabbir Rahman, who moved up 44 spots to a career best of 20th following his good form in the Asia Cup.
With Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins to miss the World T20 with injury, Maxwell and Shane Watson will be Australia's highest-ranked bowlers in India in equal 35th place, with another Aussie James Faulkner in 37th place.

Proteas legspinner Imran Tahir was the big winner in the latest bowling rankings, moving up four spots to third, while countryman David Wiese gained an incredible 21 places to burst into the top 10 in eighth spot.
Another Protea, paceman Kyle Abbott, moved up 14 places to 12th while Bangladesh's Al-Amin Hossain stormed into the top 15 after moving gaining 17 spots.
Watson will enter the World T20 as the No.1 ranked allrounder, just one point ahead of Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan, while Maxwell moved up six spots to seventh.
World T20 favourites India will start the tournament as the world No.1, nine points clear of the West Indies in second spot. Australia are a further seven points back in sixth position.
Incredibly, only 18 points separate India from eighth-ranked Sri Lanka, who are the World T20 defending champions.
