Wicket Keeper
Wicketkeeper-batter Georgia Redmayne has one of the more remarkable stories in Australian cricket.
In 2014-15, she made her debut for the NSW Breakers, but after struggling for opportunities, she signed with Tasmania, while also bagging a deal with the Hobart Hurricanes for WBBL|02.
Throughout this period, she combined cricket with studying medicine at the University of NSW in Coffs Harbour, while she was also named Betty Wilson Young Cricketer of the Year in 2017-18.
After graduating in 2018, Redmayne landed a job as a doctor at Tweed Hospital, and subsequently signed with Queensland Fire in 2019 and after one season with the Scorchers in WBBL|05, landed with the Brisbane Heat for WBBL|06.
A regular player for Australia A, Redmayne was dealt a setback in late 2022 when she ruptured her Achilles during the WBBL finals, but returned the following summer and remains one of the most popular players in Australian cricket.
