Sydney-born fast bowler Oli Patterson made an almost immediate impact on moving to Queensland, securing a spot on the Brisbane Heat's BBL|15 roster after a breakout campaign in Queensland’s KFC T20 Max competition.

As a 19-year-old, the left-armer claimed 15 wickets at 9.73 while conceding only 6.4 runs an over for Western Suburbs. 

Patterson played for Australia U19s in four-day and one-day matches on a tour of India in 2024 and was part of NSW's Under-19 National Championships-winning squad and a consistent force in NSW Premier Cricket before relocating to Brisbane in the 2025 winter. 

With a whippy action and ability to swing the new ball, he made his Big Bash debut on New Year's Eve in Adelaide, playing three matches in his first campaign, then was capped by Queensland for a One-Day Cup debut in the Bulls' first match of the 2025-26 summer after the Big Bash break, playing against Victoria at the MCG.
