Nahida Akter was only 15 years and 212 days old when she first represented Bangladesh in international cricket in September 2015, making her the youngest ever woman to play for her nation in T20I cricket.
The left-arm spinner was impressive in the Women's Twenty20 Asia Cup 2018, registering five wickets in six matches as Bangladesh went onto win the title. The following year, Akter took ten wickets in Bangladesh's title-winning ICC WT20 World Cup Qualifier campaign.
Akter was also selected in Bangladesh's squad for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2020.
