Player Story
Nahida Akter was only 14 years and 332 days old when she first represented Bangladesh in international cricket in September 2015, at the time the youngest woman to play for her nation in T20I cricket. Her ODI debut followed four days later.
The left-arm spinner was impressive in the Women's Twenty20 Asia Cup 2018, registering five wickets in six matches as Bangladesh went onto win the title. The following year, Akter took ten wickets in Bangladesh's title-winning ICC WT20 World Cup Qualifier campaign.
Akter has become one of the leading figures in Bangladesh women's cricket and is the country's leading spinner across the formats.
