Player Story
Mac Wright began his career as a talented leg-spinning allrounder from New South Wales who played second XI cricket for the ACT but that changed as was picked up as a rookie by Tasmania in 2016-17.
Wright was given a berth with the Cricket Australia XI during their time in the One-Day Cup and a finally became a regular in the Tasmanian top-order in 2019.
Wright hit an impressive century in just his second List A match for the Tigers against his native state NSW, early in the 2019-20 summer.
A Sheffield Shield debut came that summer too, although Wright has found it difficult to play regularly in red-ball cricket.
