Allrounder Madeline Penna is a powerful athlete with match-winning abilities.

Penna first appeared on the scene when she was recruited by the ACT Meteors, and earned a late call-up as a replacement player for the Melbourne Stars in WBBL|05, and the leg-spinner snared 4-20 in only her second WBBL appearance.

While originally scouted for her bowling, her powerful middle-order striking came to the fore, while Penna proved she can bat big as well when she hit her maiden WNCL century for the ACT Meteors in March 2021, posting an unbeaten 118 from 100 deliveries against Western Australia.

Since she was lured across to the Adelaide Strikers and to South Australia, Penna has become a core member of the XI in both white-ball formats.
