Player Story
When Taneale Peschel made her debut for Western Australia in 2015-16 aged 23, she had already represented Australia in the World Women’s Indoor Cricket Championships in South Africa in 2011.
She was a late starter to the game of cricket, after being introduced to the sport by her mother at the age of 15.
Her Scorchers debut came in WBBL|03 in 2017-18, and the right-armer has gone on to become a leader in the WA and Scorchers pace attacks
She played a crucial role in Perth’s maiden WBBL title in WBBL |07, taking 2-23 off her four overs in the final, including the crucial wickets of Tahlia McGrath and Dane Van Niekerk.
Peschel moved to the Sydney Thunder ahead of WBBL|10 seeking a change of scenery with a new club.
