A young up-and-comer, Webster burst onto the scene with dominant performances in the Tasmanian Premier League.

At only 20, Webster amassed 677 runs at 45.13 for his local side Kingborough and was awarded a rookie contract in 2013-14.

A prospective AFL draftee, Webster played for the Tassie Mariners at the under-18 level before choosing the cricket path.

The batting all-ounder underlined his status as a player to watch with a mature knock of 79 for Australia A against India A in September, 2016.
