Bio

Hailing from the Sutherland Shire, NSW fans are still to see the best from Ben Dwarshuis with injury curtailing the allrounder since taking up a Rookie contract several years ago.

Dwarshuis is a hard-hitting lower-order batsman and a sharp medium-fast bowler. He has played the last three seasons with the Sydney Sixers in the KFC T20 Big Bash League, and is one of a long line of young NSW bowlers competing for spots in the starting XI.

He put in some impressive performances at the back end of the Sydney Grade season in 2015-16. If he can stay on the park, appearances in the NSW Second XI (and ultimately first-class cricket) will not be far away.

Dwarshuis was named in the NSW Matador BBQs One-Day Cup squad for 2016-17, and played in the Blues' competition opener.
