Sutherland made her debut for the Melbourne Renegades in the WBBL at just 15 years of age, going on to make her Victorian debut in the WNCL.

She's since made the switch to the Melbourne Stars and been part of overseas tours with the Australia Under-19s, while her potential has been recognised with her inclusion in the National Performance Squad.
