Laura Harris, better known as 'Larris', is a powerful middle-order batter who has become a staple in the Brisbane Heat and Queensland Fire batting line-ups alongside her sister Grace.
Growing up in Ipswich, Laura tried out any sport she could including rugby league, soccer and cricket.
Laura loved playing club and school cricket growing up but decided to follow a career in nursing.
After a few years of working in the emergency department at Logan Hospital, Laura picked up a bat again, which rapidly catapulted her into a professional sporting career with the Queensland Fire and Brisbane Heat.
An excitement machine with bat in hand, Harris’s reputation has seen her pick up T20 gigs in leagues around the world, becoming one of the game’s cult heroes.
In late 2024, she shocked the Big Bash by switching allegiances from the Heat to the Thunder for WBBL|11.
